Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager will oversee our purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services, managing vendors, and developing strategies to cut costs and improve quality. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of Boba n’ BBQ by securing high-quality ingredients and reliable equipment.
Job Details
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Develop, Lead, and execute purchasing strategies

Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms

Perform cost and scenario analysis, along with benchmarking

Assess, manage, and mitigate risks

Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers

Determine quantity and timing of deliveries

Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand

Oversee the sourcing of boba tea ingredients, BBQ products, and any related supplies

Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in standard software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.)

Knowledge of supply management software.

Knowledge of local and national laws and regulations related to procurement
Experience & Education:

Master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or any related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably within the food and beverage industry
Physical Requirements:

Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms

Must occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds

Comfortable working in an office environment, with occasional visits to suppliers and vendors
