Human Resource Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Report to: Chief Operations Officer

Supervises: N/A

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and directing the routine functions of the HR department. The HR department’s duties include hiring, interviewing, payroll, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Job Details

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the hiring and staffing process

  • Develop training materials and performance management programs

  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to a resolution

  • Ensure HR policies are applied consistently

  • Design and implement employee retention strategies

  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations

  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent written communication and verbal skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledgeable with the current employment laws and regulations

  • Proficient with Microsoft software

  • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Admin, or related field

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in human resource management is preferred

  • At least 1-3 years of supervisory experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolong periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
